Low Carb Rolls

The Softest Low Carb Rolls (1g Carb Each) Today we’ve got some fabulous low carb rolls for you! These took a lot of trial and error to get right and we think we’ve honed in on a pretty tasty dinner roll recipe here. They can also be used as hamburger or sandwich buns and in addition to being keto friendly, they also pack in some fiber! Low Carb Bread Testing We do a lot of testing behind the scenes in order to lock in on what we are confident is a good enough recipe to share with you. One weekend we made a bunch of different mini test loafs using different flours, wet/dry ratios and a bunch of different add-ins and flavorings. This dinner roll recipe started on that weekend, but by the time it made it’s way to our blog it has undergone countless modifications until finally we ended up with this recipe! Coconut Flour Dinner Rolls! To date most of our recipes use almond flour, and ...

Before I moved to San Francisco I had no idea how huge of a trend brunching was. All the new friends I had made always suggested brunch and who was I to say no to one of the best meals ever created. You could have pancakes and a burger in the same meal for gosh sake! moving back to Philadelphia I wasn’t going to let the Sunday brunch tradition die just because I now lead a keto lifestyle. I had to reinvent brunch because it is just that worth it! So I present to you my ...

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake We've created the ultimate dessert recipe and another of Matts favorites with our  Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake . Insert the word 'lava' anywhere because this cake will be oozing with peanut butter lava once you dig in! It's a simple cake to make, but we wanted to go ahead and make a recipe video for you anyway. The best part of making recipe videos is that we always make two. One for the video itself and one for photography, which meant I had the chance to indulge in this cake twice already! Lava Cake Prior to keto my family often ordered the lava cake for dessert at any restaurant that offered it, and I always wondered how they made it! As I piled the cake and lava into my mouth, I would think to myself, "this isn't even possible for a regular person like me to make." However, I was wrong. I figured it out and it's as easy as you might think - cook it just long enough so the outside is firm and the center is basically l...

Keto Protein Waffles

Keto Protein Waffles Recipe This  Protein Waffles Recipe  is a nightly staple in our household. If we aren’t making protein waffles, we are making mug cakes with  protein powder.  It’s the perfect guilt-free, quick and easy, post dinner snack or dessert! Check out the video below to see how easy it is to make. Are protein waffles good for you? Just two Eggo Toaster Waffles contain almost 30g of carbs and only 5g of protein, making them a poor choice for the keto diet. Protein waffles swap out traditional refined wheat flour for protein powder which cuts the carbs almost completely and helps you feel fuller for longer. Yes, getting most of your protein from natural sources like fatty cuts of beef or pasture range eggs is better than a processed protein powder, but that doesn’t mean protein powder is harmful or unhealthy. We think it’s a great flour replacement, especially in these golden waffles. The Best Protein Powder We are big fans of using protein powder i...

Low Carb Bagels

Low Carb Bagels | Everything Bagels! Bagels are one of my favorite foods, which means we had to make  Low Carb Bagels  so I could continue to enjoy them on a keto diet! Prior to turning to a keto lifestyle there was always some sort of guilt associated with eating a bagel, or sometimes two. Topping it with loads of cream cheese, which is a must, only made it worse. So we wanted to shy away from anything to heavy and dense so we packed this bagel with protein and made it flourless! No go make them and enjoy! The Most Guilt-Free Bagels Recipe We’ve all seen the those fathead dough bagels… and cinnamon rolls, pizza crusts, and anything else you can think of to make fathead dough into. What Matt and I don’t like about that is all the cheese used in the food. If you’re bagels are made out of 2 different cheeses and almond flour, and you top it with additional cream cheese it feels a little less healthy and guilt-free. But, the bagels we’ve made for you here are flour-less and have ...
